A young man took all the risksincluding that of losing one’s life, in a crazy chase with the police. It was at Grande-Synthe (North)on the night of Thursday September 26. Shortly before 1 a.m., police officers on patrol observed this driver crossing a red light and swerving. While they want to check it, the situation degenerates.

The driver embarks on a wild chase and is injured in an accident

The driver, aged 24, accelerates even though he is driving with all lights off. He continues his journey at full speed and takes a dead end. It was at this moment that he was caught by the police. But he does not disassemble: he turns his vehicle around and manages to escape from the street. The agents, however, took care to deploy a “stop stick” on the ground, which deflated two of his tires.

He takes the highway, still followed by the police, and exits towards Grande-Synthe when he is stopped dead in an accident. He hits a lamppost and is injured: when the police arrived, the young individual was stunned and bleeding, partly because he was riding without a seat belt. His vehicle caught fire.

The police contacted the firefighters to put out the fire using a fire extinguisher. The man will subsequently be taken into police custody.
