Three police officers injured during a check in

The officers were attacked while trying to arrest an individual who was banned from appearing in the area.

Three police officers were injured on Thursday evening, September 19 in , in Seine-Saint-Denis, while they were trying to arrest an individual banned from appearing in the area, a police source told Figaroconfirming the information of Current Values .

The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. at Mail Maurice de Fontenay. A police patrol was making a round when they noticed an individual who did not have permission to be in the area. The officers tried to arrest him, before being attacked by a group of youths. The main person concerned managed to escape.

Tear gas grenades

To protect themselves, the police used tear gas grenades and arrested one of the attackers for “intentional violence in a group against a person in a position of public authority” He was taken to Delafontaine Hospital in Saint-Denis with facial injuries.

During the clashes, three police officers were also injured. One suffered a broken hand, the second suffered facial pain, and the third suffered back pain. They were taken to Avicenne Hospital in . An investigation is underway to shed light on the circumstances of this arrest.
