The French Observatory for Ecological Transition keeps track of solar panels installed in private homes to meet their electricity consumption. The organization emphasizes that the Energy Code describes self-consumption as the ability of a consumer to generate their own electricity, “thus covering all or part of their energy needs.” In Essonne, at the end of June, there was a +63% increase in the number of photovoltaic installations for individual self-consumption over one year. All for a power of 16 megawatts.
