The walk degenerates and ends in gunfire in this small village in Haute-

Two men had a dispute that could have had dramatic consequences on Sunday in the town of Jullianges.

A simple dog walk degenerated on Sunday afternoon in Jullianges. A man in his forties was walking his dog. The animal, which was not on a leash, crossed paths with another dog. The second animal was also wandering around freely, watched by its owner, also a resident of Jullianges.

The tone degenerates during the dog walk

The encounter quickly turned into a verbal altercation between the owners. The tone rose between the forty-year-old and the woman before each ended up going home. When she arrived home, the resident reported the facts to her partner. Furious, the latter went to the forty-year-old’s home to get an explanation. He allegedly banged loudly and repeatedly on the door to get it opened, yelling at his interlocutor to get out. The tension rose a notch when the door opened. The forty-year-old, who had been walking his dog a few minutes earlier, appeared on the doorstep, gun in hand, in an attempt to appear threatening.
At least two shots were fired in the home located on Place de l’Église. No one was injured. The gun owner then used the butt to hit the man who was knocking on his door. The gendarmes from the Craponne-sur-Arzon brigade community intervened to calm things down. The gunman was taken into custody until his appearance in court on Tuesday. He was placed under judicial supervision with a ban on appearing in Haute- until the date of his judgment scheduled for the end of October. He will have to undergo a psychiatric assessment in the meantime.
