It is Angélique Angarni-Filopon who has become the new Miss Martinique and has won her ticket to Miss France 2025. To date, she is the oldest of all the candidates.
For several months now, regional elections have been taking place in preparation for Miss France 2025, an evening that will be held on TF1 with Jean-Pierre Foucault at the helm. This Saturday, September 14, 2024, after a ceremony lasting more than two hours, it was Martinique that elected its brand new Miss from the Tropiques Atrium in Fort-de-France.
Angélique Angarni-Filopon: the secrets of Miss Martinique
It was Angélique Angarni-Filopon who was crowned Miss Martinique 2024, facing eleven other contenders for the crown. Originally from Fort-de-France, the young beauty queen succeeded Chléo Modestine and was crowned in the presence of Sylvie Tellier, honorary president of the competition, as well as Ève Gilles, the current title holder.
At 32 years old, Angélique Angarni-Filopon is, for the moment, the oldest regional candidate in the running. Enough to set her apart during the final scheduled for next December from the Arena Futuroscope? In any case, she has already proven that the Miss France Committee did well to remove the age limit for participation.
Now a flight attendant, the Martinican was first a sales consultant for Air France. After graduating from AeroSchool in 2017, she worked for Air Caraïbes before becoming a bilingual executive assistant from 2020 to 2023 in Paris, then a commercial cabin crew member for Corsair.
Angélique Angarni-Filopon, a well-oiled Miss Martinique
Angélique Angarni-Filopon, who is 1m83 tall, intends to make her values heard. “I am the transition between being a woman of today and a woman of tomorrow. Women: One of those women with emotions, with ambitions, aspirations. An identity that goes beyond a physical appearance. But first and foremost, one who wants to carry the voice of the riches of her island, its diversity, its potential, its mix, and its impact here and elsewhere.”she wrote on her Instagram account as if to introduce herself.
This was not her first time as a candidate for Miss Martinique. In 2011, she had already participated in the Miss Martinique election and was elected first runner-up. The perseverance of this great travel enthusiast has therefore borne fruit thirteen years later!
