MISCELLANEOUS FACTS. A freight train hit a person traveling on the tracks on Wednesday at noon, which paralyzed part of downtown Drummondville.

As of this writing, the freight train is at a standstill, blocking the majority of downtown streets. Rue Notre-Dame is also paralyzed. The area is to be avoided.

The person would have been struck at the height of the Curé-Marchand bridge. She would have been seriously injured.

Police and paramedics are currently at the scene.
