Dakar, Jan 26 (APS) – The African Football Confederation (CAF) and the Moroccan authorities unveiled, on Saturday evening, in Rabat, an official logo of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2025, which “celebrates the heritage and unity of the African continent ”.
“The new logo, a modern and emblematic symbol of African football, celebrates the heritage and unity of the African continent ”, explains CAF on its website.
The information site of the African Football Confederation adds that ” logo symbolizes pride, resilience and hope connecting Sport and Art ”.
” Inspired by the Moroccan ‘Zellij’, a time of timeless mosaic art, the logo of the tournament redefines football as a canvas where creativity, precision and passion are found ”, explains the CAF.
The CAN 2025 will be held from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026. The drawing of the competition will take place on Monday January 27, in Rabat.
-The 24 qualified teams will be divided between six groups of four.
Here is the list of countries whose teams have qualified: South Africa, Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria , Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
