DIRECT. Red vigilance in Ille-et-Vilaine, critical situation on the flood front in Brittany
Since Friday Brittany has experienced exceptional precipitation. The floors were already saturated and the rivers reacted very strongly, especially in Ille-et-Vilaine which has just been placed in red vigilance. In Rennes, we had not seen such overflows for over 40 years. Follow our direct.
What to know
With the new precipitation of the night, the situation deteriorated on the flood front, particularly in Ille-et-Vilaine which went into red vigilance.
- The situation is notably worrying in the cuttlefish and the Vilaine Middle South of Rennes placed in red by Vigicrue.
- The furniture, west of Rennes, the Ille and the Illet to the north, and the Vilaine upstream to the east are on orange vigilance.
These overflows cause damage and have consequences on transport.
