Senegal is among the top teams in hat 1 for the draw for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (CAN). This event, organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), will take place this Monday, January 27 at Rabat, Morocco.
CAN 2025 is scheduled from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026. Hat 1 brings together six teams considered to be seeded, namely Côte d’Ivoire (defending champion), Morocco (host country), Nigeria (vice -reigning champion), Senegal, Algeria and Egypt.
Pot 2 teams include Tunisia, Cameroon, Mali, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa and Burkina Faso. Hat 3 brings together Angola, Gabon, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, Zambia and Benin. Finally, hat 4 brings together Mozambique, Comoros, Sudan, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Botswana.
The draw will form six groups of four teams, which will compete in this long-awaited edition of the CAN.
