There are only 13 days left before the festivities started on this 45th Edition of the Transjurassian, which has evolved since its first scheduled in 1979.
Indeed the Transju 'is now 7 tests, spread over 2 days, in classic or in skating, over different distances cut for the founders in search of a challenge as for the most seasoned gliding fonduses.
The beauty of the sites and the difficulties of a long and varied route, 70 km between Combes and Forests, helped create the legend of the Transjurassian and to make it the unmissable meeting of real fans of cross-country skiing.
Its unique route, its landscapes, the crossing of the villages of the massif, the proximity of the public, the presence of more than 1000 volunteers make this event, a friendly and endearing race.
-Everywhere on the course The party is there, entertainment, supplies, clarines concerts … The reception is comparable to the one we meet in a stage in the Tour de France!
No worries for the moment …
But at this time of year, the crucial question is whether the snow is sufficient, so that it can take place normally on the traditional course, or if it will have to be passed on a fallback course, or If it will simply be necessary to cancel it as last year.
Let us remember that last year, it was death in the soul that Trans’organization, the organizing committee of the competition had been forced to cancel its test, for lack of sufficient snow on the massif of Jura between Lamoura and the Val de Mouthe.
We are not yet at this point, because it would be a real heartbreak for the 4,500 competitors already registered on the 7 events of the race on February 8 and 9, 2025…
