Louga, January 25 (APS) – Serigne Omar Sénéba Lô, the Caliph of Keur Mbarick, called for the asphalting of the track connecting this village in the Louga region (north) to one of the main roads in the area.
”We only have one demand. We hope that the new authorities will proceed with the asphalting of this 700-meter track,” he said during the celebration of the annual ”gamou” (religious gathering) of Keur Mbarick.
He expressed this demand in the presence of Papa Laïty Mar, the deputy governor of Louga, responsible for development issues in the region.
”Religious guides are social regulators,” Mr. Mar said.
-The deputy Abdou Ahad Ndiaye, member of the Pastef group (majority), and El Hadj Djily Lô, the mayor of Nguidilé, took part in the celebration of ”gamou”, alongside administrative authorities, other guests and residents by Keur Mbarick.
