The event, organized by the SAVA association, is taking a new turn in 2025.
The general meeting of the SAVA association (Sud Aveyron Véhicules Anciens) was held this Sunday, January 26 in the morning in the Carpentry room. As always, this traditional meeting was attended by a large audience with nearly 100 people present. The opportunity for the president of SAVA, Patrick Gineste, which will be the high point of the association's activities in 2025, namely the event entitled “Nationale 9 du Viaduc au Larzac”.

Organized on Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18, 2025, this event is the continuation of that set up by the association in 2019, the Bouchon de Millau. It was organized every two years, instead of the Viaduc race. After the Covid years, the event was titled at the request of the town hall, “The historic crossing of Millau” in 2023.
For this new edition called “Nationale 9 du Viaduc au Larzac” more than 150 to 200 vehicles are expected from Saturday at Parc de la Victoire where a static exhibition of them will take place. In the afternoon, a tourist hike will be offered with several circuits around Millau offered to participants of around a hundred kilometers. In the evening there will be a meal in the village hall.

On Sunday from 9 a.m., vehicles will leave Parc de la Victoire to cross Millau from Avenue de la République via Mandarous, Boulevard de l'Ayrolle, Boulevard Richard, return to Mandarous via Capelle and boulevard de Bonald, direction again boulevard de la République and direction Saint-Germain. No stops are planned in town, although interested people will be able to see the old cars pass by.
Welcome within the 13th DBLE
Once in Saint-Germain, the convoy will head towards the A75 towards the Brocuéjouls area where a stop is planned. The program then plans to cross the Viaduct towards La Cavalerie where the “Bouchon N9” will be organized in the village, with the agreement of the mayor of the town, François Rodriguez.
At meal time, all participants will head to the military camp where they will be welcomed by the 13th DBLE for the meal. The return to Millau will be made at the end of the afternoon via the departmental road 809, former Nationale 9. A closing party will take place at Parc de la Victoire at 6 p.m. In addition to this new animation, other organizations were mentioned as well as other projects.
