Since the end of the work in the town of Saint-Michel-en-Grève, residents suffer from noise pollution and especially vibrations due to the poor condition of the road, with the appearance of cracks on their property.
Before the opening of the municipal council meeting on January 17, 2025, two residents of rue de la Côte des Bruyères discussed the progress of the file with elected officials.
Requests heard
Following the Department's response to their letter concerning the town center speed limit, the 1st deputy Christophe Ropartz reassured:
“The mayor will quickly issue an order to limit the speed to 30 km/h.”
Residents also appreciate the passage of the efficient but fleeting gendarmerie, as soon as the police leave “it starts again with a vengeance”.
The municipality also initially plans to patch the biggest holes of the roadway and to redo the continuous line by the management without waiting for the repair of the coating.
Interior cracks
Residents are demanding bailiffs' reports carried out before the work for an inventory of the exterior of the homes. The question now is whether another finding is expected because the cracks are also appearing on the inside. With concern about the impact on the foundations of their house. And who will pay for the work?
-Sensors?
Local residents mention the possibility of having sensors to measure vibrations.
Christophe Ropartz confirms:
“I will contact LTC regarding the bailiffs’ reports and a new visit to observe the exterior and interior damage to the homes.”
Residents thanked elected officials for taking their complaints into account: “The file is progressing, that’s good! »
