In anticipation of the 2030 World Cup, the Moroccan government signed in 2023 a print contract with Royal Air Maroc in order to quadruple its current fleet, from 50 to 200 planes by 2035. Thanks to this partnership, the airline A already acquired between 11 and 13 new planes.
The announcement was made by Fouzi Lekjaa, the Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, during a session organized by the General Confederation of Morocco Businesses (CGEM) to discuss the 2025 finance law. The manager confirmed that RAM A Recently received from Boeing 787 Dreamliner, as well as Boeing Max.

Lekjaa said that the print contract signed with the airline aims to enable it to strengthen Morocco’s connection with the different regions of the world, especially from Casablanca airport which will be transformed into a hub. He also announced the completion, by the end of this year, completion of the extension and rehabilitation works of the airports of Marrakech, Tangier, Fez and Rabat.

These actions are part of the RAM flight network expansion plan and will contribute to the achievement of Morocco’s objective to attract more than 26 million tourists by 2030, the year it will organize the Football World Cup, jointly with Spain and Portugal.
