During a mountain bike ride in the morning, around 10:45 a.m., a man fell on a single-track path, towards the Saint-Maximin sector, located just below Uzès. The victim, seriously injured in the right ankle, cannot continue on his way. The Gard firefighters were then called, reinforced by an ambulance, a medical team, a reconnaissance and intervention group team in dangerous environments (Grimp) and a command vehicle.
The individual was airlifted and transported to the university hospital by helicopter
The 48-year-old man was then taken care of and transported to the Carémeau hospital center by the civil security helicopter after being airlifted. An intervention which lasted almost three hours, and which mobilized a total of eleven men and seven vehicles. The Gendarmerie was also present on site.
