Morbihan: the gendarmes and retirees from UNPRG in the sector gathered around the galette des rois

On January 16, 42 gendarmes and retirees members of the National Union of Personnels and Retired Gendarmerie (UNPRG) in the sector, at the invitation of sector president Philippe Méchard met at the restaurant “Le Carpe Diem” in Merlevenez, in the presence of Mayor Bruno Le Bosser, to share a moment of conviviality around the traditional galette des rois.

This meeting, marked by the spirit of camaraderie and respect for traditions, allowed participants to exchange in a warm atmosphere.

The festivities will continue the next day, Wednesday, January 17, with a ceremony in honor of Sainte-Geneviève, patron saint of the gendarmes. The members of the Departmental Gendarmerie Company of Lorient and their guests will come together at the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-d'Auray for a solemn and spiritual moment.

These events testify to the strong bond which unites the active and retired gendarmes, united by values ​​of solidarity and respect.
