Noisy-le-Sec: Micro-folie honors Notre-Dame de Paris and its rebuisseurs

Discover the new nave of Notre-Dame de , meet the workers who have worked in its reconstruction and be surprised by the light that the renovated stained glass lets in… All by being in Noisy-le-Sec, in Seine-Saint -Denis! Thanks to the micro-folie network, it is now possible to understand the restoration of the emblematic cathedral since its town.

Inaugurated in 2019, the Cultural Space of Noisy-le-Sec has seen its attendance double in recent years. He notably offers a digital or “fablab” museum, through which users can train in manual work, and a virtual reality space. “It has become an essential place in the life of the neighborhood,” rejoices Olivier Sarrabeyrouse (PCF), the mayor of the city.

Distributed throughout and even abroad, these 563 digital art galleries aim to bring culture in a new form in areas often distant from museums. They enrich each year at least four new collections. This Thursday, January 23, marked the launch of that of Notre-Dame de Paris. Presented in Noisy-le-Sec, it is now available in all the micro-folies in the world.

Designed in partnership with large Parisian museums such as the Louvre, Orsay or Pompidou, this collection retraces the reconstruction of the cathedral, puts the building in the French cultural landscape and tries to arouse vocations for emblematic and unknown trades. A film of about fifteen minutes presents the architecture and history of Notre-Dame, as well as its restoration.

It is accompanied by digital tablets which offer an interactive experience and allow visitors to know more about the works and professions that parade on the screen. Virtual reality headsets immerse you in the heart of the cathedral or on its roof. This collection emphasizes “the human adventure that was the reconstruction of the cathedral and the need to diversify the forms of access to culture”, underlines Philippe Jost, the president of the public establishment rebuild Notre- Lady of Paris.
