TOPS
Diouf heroic in the first half
Reims owes a debt of gratitude to Yehvann Diouf. Clearly dominated in the first period, the Champagne club held the 0-0 until the break thanks to the prowess of its goalkeeper. Quickly put to use by Dembélé, the 25-year-old goalkeeper then disgusted Ramos, pulling out all the stops twice in front of the Portuguese striker. It is absolutely not responsible for the opening score in Paris. Conversely, his desire to quickly play forward is at the origin of the equalizing goal.
Nakamura, a real danger
This is the other Rémois of the evening. Author of the equalizer, with a beautiful curling shot which left Donnarumma on the spot, Keito Nakamura gave more substance to his fine performance. The Japanese, the only dangerous Champenoise in the first period, stood out in particular with a nice acceleration between Zaire-Emery and Beraldo, reduced to the rank of spectators. Much heavier and more threatening than his friends in the offensive trio, Ito and Diakité.
Gifted on his momentum
One of PSG's men in form at the start of 2025. Often aligned in the attacking trio, Désiré Doué has this time moved back a notch, to be positioned in the midfield. A replacement which did not prevent him from delivering a great performance. In all the good moves, the former Rennais knew how to combine with his teammates and break lines, within the imposing Reims block. Dangerous on a cross shot a few centimeters in the first period, and author of a clean delivery for Kvaratskhelia to open the scoring.
FLOPS
-PSG stopped playing
Parisians may have great regrets. Quickly dominating in this match, the capital club set the pace and finally materialized its superiority from the restart, thanks to Dembélé. A goal, followed by a huge air gap. Luis Enrique's men immediately stopped playing, leaving the impression of wanting to save money for the upcoming games. Reims was quick to take advantage, with a well-executed counterattack concluded by Nakamura barely ten minutes after the opening score. The damage was done for Paris, which took far too long to restart the machine in the second half.
Ramos, a holder who still disappoints
Holder or joker? Like his goal scored against Manchester City at the end of the match, Gonçalo Ramos is often valuable and decisive when he comes into play. Much less when he is lined up from the start. The Portuguese striker had a frustrating encounter this Saturday, as Luis Enrique gave him another chance from the kick-off. Well caught by the Reims defense, he nevertheless missed two big chances in the first period. Invisible after the break, and replaced at the end of the match, while PSG pushed to snatch victory.
