In the aftermath of the drone attack which targeted the Saudi hospital in El-Facher, in western Sudan, the World Health Organization (WHO) communicates a very heavy assessment. Since May 2024, the FSR has been bending the city of El-Facher, a metropolis of two million inhabitants, capital of the Darfur-Nord State. However, the Saudi hospital is “The only functional hospital in El-Facher”said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. According to him, the establishment “Provides services such as gynecology-obstetrics, internal medicine, surgery and pediatrics, as well as a nutrition center”.
In addition, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs sentenced the hospital attack in a statement. Calling “Protection of medical and humanitarian workers”, He denounced a “Violation of international humanitarian law”.
