The eighth edition of the Arts en Gâtine show, carried by the Parthenay photo club Camera, has embarked on the public in its large eight. In fact, with some two hundred works produced by around fifty artists invited this year, the abundant exhibition saw things big.
The public was not mistaken. Before the incessant ballet of visitors on Saturday January 25, 2025, they were already more than two hundred to participate in the launch on Friday. The show extends over a third day, this Sunday, January 26.
“In the bubble of the Palais des Congrès to forget the worries”
Photographs, films, sculptures, plastic arts, porcelain painting … Polymorphic temptation is confirmed among the organizers, who had even added music to their repertoire, during their first two editions, in 2018 and 2019.
« Notre budget (3.000 €) did not allow us to continue the musical adventure, but it remains a great pleasure in organizing. It is so pleasant to see happy people circulating among the works, in this bubble of the Palais des Congrès to forget the hassles ”, The eternal contemplative René Jamoneau, president of the Parthenay Photo Camera, was delighted, who was at the origin of this show as soon as the association's presidency came in 2017.
It must be said that in the idyll that unites René Jamoneau at the Parthenay Congress Palace, not enough to tear his hair. “I arrived in 1969, in full construction of the Palais des Congrès and I started to practice a stone's throw away, at 5, rue Jean-Jaurès”, Smiles René Jamoneau. The hairdresser then arrived from Châtellerault (Vienne) to find his family of Gâtine in passing, was only 20 years old at the time. Fifty-eight years later, he keeps his child's gaze as soon as it comes to skimming the art exhibitions where he developed his annual casting for arts in Gâtine.
The basis is of course always the annual productions of the thirty members of the Parthenay Club Photo Camera, 60 years this year, with which artists lovers of rainbow are, plus the golden hands The porcelain porcelain workshop for free time.
The guests of honor skillfully allow, from year to year, to renew the look. Like Aline, this time, photographer from Poitiers, whose double exhibitions which merge the plant world to her self -portrait body are very narrative. To such a brand, that this work has fed podcasts and even a concert-reading of the artist around his photographic creations.
The female figure, the central theme of this eighth edition, is also sublimated by the metal sculptures of the Chauraisien Laurent Molton. Which, born in Parthenay, had discovered this very young art in Gâtine, in Saint-Georges-de-Noisné. As for Jean-Michel Houmeau, among these guests of honor also, this citizen of the capital of Gâtine where he taught is a member of the Parthenais collective of artists amateur of rainbow.
The eighth Arts en Gâtine lounge continues this Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Parthenay Congress Palace. FREE ENTRANCE.
