The arrival of Thiago Almada (23 years old) at Olympique Lyonnais has already made noise. Last Saturday, Toulouse FC complained about the qualification of OL's Argentine winter recruit. Arriving via the form of a free loan from Botafogo – another club in John Textor's Eagle group and despite the Rhone club's recruitment ban – Thiago Almada was added to the OL group for the reception of Toulouse. But while he did not play a single minute, Téfécé denounced a “scam”.

Via its president, Damien Comolli, Toulouse had contested with the League the presence of the 23-year-old Argentinian and considered that his transfer was contrary to the rules, due to the recruitment ban pronounced by the DNCG against OL. After studying the file, the legal commission rejected it this Friday, and notified it to the two clubs at the end of the afternoon as informed Progress. The commission considered that the contract had been approved by the LFP, after a favorable opinion from the DNCG. Thiago Almada can therefore calmly play with OL.
