Senegal: “Djibril Diop Manbéty brought a break in the way of making the movies” says Ad Cissokho

Dakar commemorates the 80th anniversary of the birth of the great director Djibril Diop Manbéty who died in in 1998, at the age of 53. On this occasion we return to the work and the journey of this director with Aboubacar Demba Cissokho, journalist and Senegalese film critic. The work of Djibril Diop Manbéty always runs in festivals, offering spectators a mixture of sarcasm, humor, but also of reality tinged with poetry and tales.
