The Grenoblois took advantage of the defeat of their runners-up, Béziers and Aix-en-Provence, to take a 10-point lead at the top of the Championship. At home, the Biterrois were in fact subjected to the law of Colomiers (17-29) and its 4 tries in the evening. As for Aix, they were dominated at Aurillac (26-17), where Mehdi Slimani (2 tries) and Tedo Abzhandadze (4 penalties and 2 conversions) made the difference.
