Brittany Cup (round of 16)
In view of the draw, Plouvorn (R1), which travels to Camaret (D1), and Saint-Renan (R1), who will challenge Bréhan (R3), seem the best armed and start favorites. “Given our latest results, I am a little worried. My team alternates hot and cold. I don’t see any other outcome than qualification, elimination would call many things into question…” confides Christophe Lopez, the Plouvorné coach.
Saint-Renan, semi-finalist last season, and invigorated by a great success in the championship, will move to Bréhan with a lot of ambitions and also a lot of mistrust. Furthermore, the clash of these 16th finals will pit Plougastel against Stade Pontivyen, two R1 teams. “We have the chance to receive, we will have to be efficient and not have any lapses in concentration if we want to have a chance of passing,” explains Jean-Noël Nonotte, the Finistère coach. Morlaix, for his part, receives Ploumagoar, another R2 formation. “The Coupe de Bretagne allows us to maintain momentum in the squad and give playing time to certain players. It will be a great match between two teams at the top of their group. We are ambitious and determined,” admits Steven Coat, the Morlais technician.
Finally, Coataudon (R3), which remains on two draws in the championship, moves to Loudéac (R2) in a match that is not so easy on paper.
