refourgues this flop and recovers big

The story between Stade Rennais and Jota will not have lasted for a long time. Arrived in in the last moments of the summer transfer windowfor eight million euros, the Portuguese is already preparing to leave France, towards a direction which he knows well. Indeed, according to information from journalist Fabrizio Romano, the management and that of Celtic Glasgow would have agreed on the sale of the 25 -year -old winger, for an amount of 10 million euros, in addition 10% on a potential resale. The Center-Cottage center, Kyogo Furuhashi, will make the opposite path, for 10 million euros as well.

Unwanted in Rennes, notably for the new team's coach, Jorge Sampaoli, Jota will therefore find a club in which he lived his two most beautiful football seasons. From 2021 to 2023, the Lisbon native played 83 games there, scored 28 goals and issued 26 assists. His performances caught the eye of several stables, including Al-Ittihad who recruited him for 30 million euros in the summer of 2023. But in the wake of his transfer, the Saudi club decided not to 'Register in the list of extra-community players, which then greatly complicated his adventure there.

At Stade Rennais, Jota will ultimately only played 10 games, for three tenure, a goal and a decisive pass. In Scotland, he will find coach Brendan Rangers, but also most of the teammates who were already there before his departure. He will also compete in the Champions League since Celtic managed to hang the top 24 to qualify, at least, in the play -offs.
