Great debate / -Algeria: A risk of climbing?

“The recap” by Bruno Donnet

In the midst of a diplomatic crisis between France and Algeria, a new Algerian influencer was arrested on January 22, 2025 for incitement to violent acts. He thus became the 7th Algerian influencer arrested on French soil for hateful words and incentive to violence. These influencers are suspected of being the relays of the anti-French discourse of the Abdelmadjid Tebboune regime, Algerian president. While Algeria gets bogged down in social and economic problems, the country's authorities are trying to focus the attention of the inhabitants on an alleged “Macronito-Zionist” plot from who would seek to destabilize the country. From the controversy of Western Sahara to the outings of Bruno Retailleau via the imprisonment of Boualem Sansal, the cloth burns between Algiers and Paris. Can we restore dialogue between France and Algeria?

Guests:
– Rachel Binhas, journalist at “Marianne”,
– Jean Garrigues, historian,
– Gilles Manceron, historian, specialist in colonial history,
– Naoufel Brahimi El Mili, political scientist, author of “France-Algeria: 50 years of secret stories” (Fayard).

Large interview / Thierry Pech and Guillaume Hannezo: The book that imagines Marine Le Pen at the Elysée

“Marine Le Pen President, Political Dystopia 2026-2029” is a sketch of what France would look like if Marine Le Pen became president after a possible resignation of Emmanuel Macron in 2026. The authors thus imagine the consequences of the application of National rally program. The abolition of state medical aid, the adoption of a constitutional law “citizenship, identity and immigration”, the presumption of self -defense for the police would thus restore French society. The authors also speculate on the appointment of a government. Jordan Bardella would be a tenant of Place Beauvau, Laurent Wauquiez would occupy Matignon and Eric Zemmour would become Minister of Culture. To what extent could this fictitious story prove to be prophetic?
