Discover the Hot Wheels collection dedicated to Formula 1!

Racing enthusiasts have reason to rejoice: Hot Wheels has launched a new collection of Formula 1 cars, already available at major international retail outlets. However, this does not mean that this will be the only series to be released this year, as the collection will be completed in 2025. The announcement comes after the success of the toy brand's first limited edition car launch, the previous year. Thus, Mattel seized the opportunity to expand its range of available models.

Unveiled at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair, this new line includes eight teams, with individual Hot Wheels cars, sets of five vehicles, as well as premium products. Each car will be 1:64 scale, created specifically to ride on the iconic Hot Wheels orange track. However, what enthusiasts look forward to most are the premium models, which feature careful details to imitate real racing cars. The latter will have metal chassis and bodies, official team decorations and Pirelli tires, according to information disclosed by F1.

This collection will be accompanied by the Hot Wheels Formula 1 Sprint and Grand Prix Race circuits. These sets will allow drivers to compete and overtake their opponents using a foot-operated throttle and manual DRS system, providing an advantage on the track.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

Although the product line is not yet fully available, it will be gradually available throughout this year. Individual cars – at a scale of 1:64 – are sold at 2.49 euros. The Red Bull models are already on sale, and the Williams ones will be available from March. Fans will have to wait a little longer for the Mercedes, which will hit the market in June. These models are ideal for use with F1 Sprint Race and Grand Prix circuits, as well as other tracks from the same brand.

In addition, the pack of five Hot Wheels cars is already on sale for 11.99 euros. Still at 1:64 scale, each vehicle features decorations from the other five teams: McLaren, Alpine, Haas, Racing Bulls and Sauber. will be sold separately.

The price per vehicle is 12.99 euros.

The Hot Wheels product line

Both circuits will go on sale on or around the same dates as the premium cars. The Sprint Race, priced at 47.99 euros, is equipped with a pedal accelerator for children. It includes curves and a diversion to an indoor track.

The Grand Prix, for its part, will be sold at 87.99 euros. It will get a two-speed, three-way throttle. “Timing is essential when activating one of the two manual DRS diverters, allowing you to accelerate to overtake the opponent or simply regain the lead of the race in turn 180,” the press release said. This track will also feature a dual-lane lap counter – up to 25 – while also offering a 'mono infinite' mode for endless races.

At the same time, F1 has confirmed that in addition to this collection, fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy Hot Wheels experiences through various events, which will take place across the globe.
