Indre-et-Loire. Guided Tours until May to discover the history of the opera

This is new this year. A guided tour in small groups proposes to discover the history and splendors from the place to the discovery of the peristyle, the public foyer and the performance hall of the Grand Théâtre Opera de Tours.

A monumental staircase and Italian-style room, classified as a historic monument since 2024, the Grand Théâtre – Opéra de Tours, located in the historic district of the city, is inspired by its famous Parisian counterpart.

Each year it presents a lyrical and symphonic season, shows for young audiences as well as recitals and chamber music concerts. Featuring a permanent choir, the Grand Théâtre also welcomes the Centre-Val de Loire/Tours Region Symphony Orchestra since 2002.

Tours are offered on Tuesdays, from February 4 until May 13, 2025 from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

THE reservations will be made in advance with the Tourist Office or online.

Duration: 1 hour – Price: from €9. Arrive 10 minutes before the tour departs. Reduced rate (€5) for job seekers, students, RSA beneficiaries, people with disabilities and COS members. Proof will be requested at the start of the visit.
Free under 18s.
