Disappeared since Wednesday, January 22, midday, the bodies of Maëva and Martin, two 20-year-olds in a relationship, were found the next day, nine kilometers from their home. The first elements of the investigation indicate a double homicide.
They had been not found since Wednesday January 22. One day after the reporting of their disappearance on Thursday 23, the bodies of Maëva and Martin were found in the town of Saint-Martin-aux-Chartrains, near Deauville in Calvados. They were both 20 years old, reports BFMTV. According to the first elements of the investigation delivered by the public prosecutor of Caen, there is little room for doubt. Their disappearance actually hid a double homicide.
“Of criminal origin”
Joined by Le Parisien, prosecutor Joël Garrigue is formal: “The first observations made on the two victims make it possible to establish that their death is of criminal origin. One of the bodies presents important wounds on the face and the other presents traces likely to correspond to ball impacts . He then adds: “The circumstances in which these two young people were killed and the reasons why they were not known and no hypothesis is excluded.”reports the magistrate.
Found nine kilometers from their home, Maëva and Martin were in a relationship and had lived together for two years in the city of Trouville-sur-Mer. They had no longer given their loved ones since Wednesday at midday. According to several sources, they left their home at the end of the morning taking their car to go shopping. Without news from them, the mother of the young woman and others close together alerted the gendarmerie who quickly deployed her research means. Maëva's car was found locked in a roadside car park. The young woman's handbag was still there, and the couple's two mobile phones were found in a trash can a few meters from the vehicle.
