The body of a man found in the street in the Pyrénées-Orientales: what we know

INFO NEWS Perpignan. Macabre discovery at Submissive (Pyrénées-Orientales). This Friday, January 24, 2025, in the early morning, the lifeless body of a man was found on the public highway. The remains were located near the roundabout which leads to the Saleilles crossing (and to the skatepark), at the corner of André Bouille and des Vendanges streets.

The victim was able to be identified

This Friday morning, several residents of the town noticed the presence, in large numbers, of gendarmes. The body, found in this residential area located outside Alénya, had been covered with a white sheet.

Requested by News Perpignanthe Pyrénées-Orientales gendarmerie group and the public prosecutor confirm this information. “Observations are underway,” announce the military. At the start of the morning, the police had blocked the road.

For the moment, few details are filtering out. The causes of death have not yet been revealed. We still know that the victim was able to be identified thanks to his identity papers. This is a man of 36 ans. The police investigation continues.
