Ponds, lagoons, salt marshes, ponds, marshes, streams, peat bogs, alluvial valleys, flood meadows: these are the wetlands! These unique ecosystems play an essential role in regulating water cycles, biodiversity and the fight against climate change. In the Landes of Gascogne Regional Natural Park, they represent an exceptional natural and cultural heritage. They have their global event called “World Day of Wetlands (JMZH)”, from January 31 to February 2. The park organizes several special events as part of these days, under the international theme: “wetlands, allies for a resilient future”.

The animation program in the Landes:

Friday, January 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pavilion of the Marquèze Ecomuseum in Sabers: show a fishing game by the Le Chant du Moineau company. Sunday, February 2 in Sore: hike near La Petite-Leyre at 2 p.m. and show a fishing game, at 5 p.m. in the village hall.
