The events occurred this morning, at 10:25 a.m., and the intervention lasted more than four hours: quai Guilbaud in Rives-en-Seine, in the former commune of Caudebec-en-Caux (Seine-Maritime), a dog was seen drifting in the Seine.
-When firefighters arrived on the scene, they noticed that the dog had taken refuge in a sewer to fight against the current. Quickly, the animal was no longer visible from the banks.
Seven firefighters, including a team specializing in water rescue, managed to spot the animal and continued their search in the rainwater network, specifies the Departmental (Fire and Rescue) Service SDIS of Seine-Maritime.
At 3 p.m., the dog, a husky, was finally able to be recovered by the aquatic team and the fire department veterinarian. Unharmed, he was handed over to the municipal police to be returned to his owners.
