A prestigious award. THE personalities of the department named in the National Order of Merit (ONM) under the promotion of November 15, 2024 were revealed, this Wednesday January 22by the prefect of Tarn-et-Garonne Vincent Roberti.
A decree from the President of the Republic dated January 15
This announcement from the state representative follows the decree of the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron of January 15, 2025 concerning promotion and appointment in the ONM. After the official publication of the latter, several Tarn-et-Garonnaises were therefore appointed to the rank of knight:
- Under the promotion of community volunteering : Christiane Massathonorary member of the Board of Directors of the Departmental Information Center on the Rights of Women and Families (CIDFF) and Mylène Seuxpresident of a local animal protection association
- Under the classic promotion : Hélène Pizzuthospital practitioner, head of the emergency-resuscitation department of the Montauban hospital center and Valérie Rabaultdepartmental councilor, former MP for Tarn-et-Garonne
An honorary order established in 1963
Considered to be the fourth most important decoration in France after the Legion of Honor, the Order of the Liberation (now foreclosed) and the Military Medal, the ONM was established on December 3, 1963 by General de Gaulle.
Rewarding the distinguished meritsmilitary or civilian, returned to the French nation, it is made up of three grades (knight, officer, commander) and two dignities (grand officer and grand cross).
