A change of schedule indicated by the Élysée this Tuesday. Contrary to what was said at the end of last week, President Emmanuel Macron will not travel to the North or Aisne on Thursday January 28. His presidential agenda was recently shaken up by the death on January 17 of Didier Guillaume, former Minister of Agriculture and Food between 2018 and 2020 under the Édouard Philippe government.
-Didier Guillaume had since become Minister of State for Mocano, a small principality where his funeral will take place on Thursday January 23. His funeral forced Emmanuel Macron to postpone his visit to Hauts-de-France by a week, where he was to see the progress of the Sambre-Avesnois-Thiérache (SAT) project. His visit, however, is only postponed, since the Head of State will visit our lands seven days later, on January 30.

As a reminder, the SAT pact signed between the State and the local authorities of Sambre-Avesnois-Thiérache is made up of two aid plans aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of this territory plagued by a high rate of unemployment and of poverty. One of the main axes of the pact was to develop infrastructure and transport in this area straddling the North and Aisne, as well as health care, education and culture.
