-After François Bayrou's general policy declaration on January 14, the PS chose not to vote on the motion of censure tabled by LFI, which set it apart from the other forces of the New Popular Front (NFP). “The PS has become a pivotal party”said Karim Bouamrane, PS mayor of Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis). “Olivier Faure did well not to vote for censorship and to have guarantees from the government”he added. According to him, the fact of not having voted for censorship “is an intelligent opposition“. “Now the goal is to become a leading party.”he said.
