On Sunday March 23, 2025, Parisians will meet at the polls during a new vote.
After having Parisians vote on whether or not to maintain self-service electric scooters in the capital, on April 2, 2023 (a vote which also ended with the cessation of this rental system, considered too dangerous), the latter are once again called upon to vote on next Sunday March 23.
The subject of this new vote concerns garden streetsin order toaccelerate the greening policy in Paris. In fact, the garden street concept aims to create 100 garden streets in the coming years in order to develop and preserve biodiversity, reduce heat islands and thus improve the quality of life of residentsaccording to the City of Paris website.
-This time – and this is a great first for this new vote – young people aged 16 to 18 will also be able to vote, since the city of Paris considers that “the participation of young people in the life of the city is essential to our democratic vitality”. So, if you were born between March 23, 2007 and March 22, 2009, reside in Paris and are of French nationality (or any other member country of the European Union), the appointment is made next Sunday, March 23, in all the districts of the capital!
