Gims wards off bad luck. After the mixed scores of his last two albums “Le flais” and “Mozart's Last Wills” respectively sold more than 200,000 and 100,000 copies, far from the previous ones which had reached a million, the rapper returns to the top. In recent months, the star has had a string of hits that are causing a sensation in streaming and in the charts. This is how “Spider” started with a bang, establishing itself as one of the hits of the summer before being crowned the most listened to title of 2024 with more than 136 million plays. In the process, “Don’t be shy” also reached the summits. Two titles which totaled 14 weeks at first place in the Top Singles, and which are included in the EP “Le nord remembers”. Becoming number one four months after its release, the project has sold more than 117,000 copies (digital only), and is currently the best seller of early 2025.

And as the saying goes, never two without three! After “Spider” and “Don’t be shy”, Gims is already at the head of a third hit: “Ciel”. A festive title on which the ex-Sexion d'Assaut says he is bewitched by a woman. The title, which has been a sensation for several weeks, has just exploded by reaching second place in the Top Singles with a total of 25 million streams since its release. To make this success a reality, Gims shares the video for “Ciel”, already number one in musical trends on YouTube. Like Kendji Girac in the video for “I Changed”, the rapper finds himself skiing, alongside a Ferrari and actress Karine Dolls, to have a good time. Note that “Ciel” also soars on the airplay side since it goes from 26th to 12th place among the most broadcast titles on the radio. Here we have the first hit of 2025!
