Saturday January 18, members of the Lot federation of the French Communist Party met in Francoulès. Jean-Christophe Vialaret, federal secretary, Marie Piqué and Serge Leybros welcomed around thirty members for the presentation of wishes and to take stock of local, national and international news as well as the actions to be carried out.
Preserve public services
The federal secretary recalled the urgent need to defend and preserve public services and their agents, particularly in health, education and transport. He denounced the very deficit housing crisis and called for the repeal of the pension reform which should lead to a new reform to maintain the cessation of activity at 60 years old.
He made the bitter observation that despite all the alliances attempted, the left, capping at 30%, is not progressing and cannot impose itself. The objective is therefore to reconquer a lost popular electorate. Awareness-raising actions will be carried out in working-class neighborhoods, within businesses and their employees, and among young people. The municipal elections of 2026 must allow the integration of a greater number of communists into the municipalities in order to weigh for a social ideal.
-To conclude, the federal secretary mentioned the climate plan, the international situation which raises many concerns on all continents and confirmed the arrival of Fabien Roussel in the Lot, during the spring before inviting the assembly to share the friendly drink around a buffet.
