The Concept Oro association has set up food distributions in the streets of Gap every weekend. The raids take place on Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In 2024, volunteers were able to distribute Christmas gifts for children at Gap hospital.
Their new action for this year 2025 is to organize marauding every weekend in the streets of Gap.
Food, blankets and hygiene products
Alexandre Philippe, president of the association, has already lived on the street, which gave him the idea of creating this organization on TikTok three months ago. “Everything comes from the heart, it’s something important to me,” he explains.
Since mid-January, Concept Oro has been organizing maraudes every weekend in the city center of Gap, like the one followed by Radio SCOOP Gold rue Carnot, Saturday January 18. On the table, there are hot meals, drinks, but also hygiene products, blankets and even dog food.
To alert as many people as possible of their presence,
-“We call 115 which notifies them, and during the day we walk around the street a bit. We look everywhere to distribute our card to them,” says the president of the association, “and then it also allows us to have human contact and chat with them.”
The marauding takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday. Places change in relation to needs and concentrations of people.
