Keur Birane, a peaceful village in the commune of Richard-Toll, was the scene of a painful scene this Sunday. The lifeless body of a 31-year-old man was discovered in a well, sparking great emotion in the locality.
According to testimonies collected on site by the APS correspondent, the deceased had mental health problems and did not seem to have all his faculties.
The victim, known to the health services, was being monitored at the “Dalal Xel” health center in Thiès. This regular monitoring has raised concerns about his condition, as confirmed by security sources.
Alerted by worried residents, the Richard-Toll territorial brigade as well as the firefighters quickly went to the scene to recover the victim’s body. The scene was secured while law enforcement took the first steps to establish the facts.
