There was a scent of revenge hovering over the Henri-Cavallier stadium which was full of supporters to attend the derby between the Lot 47 Valley and RC Bon-Encontre/Boé this Sunday. The men of Boétien captain Clément Benne remained on a narrow victory against L'Isle-en-Dodon (28-23), but moved with the firm intention of scratching at least one defensive bonus point, or even aiming for victory to take their revenge of the first leg lost 16 to 23.
Opposite, the players of the Olivier Sverzut/Jérôme Cantagrel tandem, on forced rest since December 8, 2024 after the postponed derby against Pont-du-Casse, remained on a more than average performance, losing to L'Isle-en-Dodon (3 to 9), a meeting well within the reach of the Fumélo-Tournonnais.
RCBB's desire is not enough
This derby started with two teams full of intention and it was the locals who stood out first. A first try (penalty) from the 8e minute caused by fullback Lilian Lassaigne, tackled without the ball (7-0). The Fumel-Tournonnais forwards, well led by their captain Isaac Corenson, brought intensity to the fight, which took advantage of the young scrum half Mathis Alloué to double the lead on a personal exploit (14-0, 20e). Visiting fullback Aldric Langlade rewards his team's efforts with a penalty (14-3, 23e).

COP XV on forced rest. If, in this group 9, US Nérac was able to play (and win) its duel against US Vicquoise (41-5), the Cassipontins were forced, once again, to rest. Their trip to Mauvezin has been postponed until March 30. The COP XV will make up for their derby against the USVL on Sunday January 26 (3:15 p.m.).
The Good Encontrais do not lack desire but sin by clumsiness and approximation. A poorly negotiated touch and a stolen ball in their 22 meters allowed the offensive launched by Anthony Lacroix. Too late to do better, the last skirmishes are for the locals who will not succeed in regaining the offensive bonus which was reaching out to them. As for the visitors, poorly rewarded for their efforts, they leave Fumel empty.
The declines
