The International Federation of Football Statistics and History unveiled this Saturday its ranking of the best clubs of the year 2024. Champion of Europe and Spain, Real Madrid is number one.
This Saturday, Real Madrid released a statement to reaffirm what everyone knew: they were the best club of the past calendar year. Champion of Spain and Europe, winner of the European Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup, the White House left nothing to its rivals. And was therefore voted the best club on the planet by the very serious International Federation of Football Statistics and History. On the podium, we also find Bayer Leverkusen, German champion for the first time in its history, winner of the Cup, finalist of the Europa League and unbeaten for more than 50 matches, and Atalanta Bergamo, who won the C3 and which is the only formation, precisely, to have defeated Bayer.
LOSC is 35th, OL 70th, OM 108th…
FC Barcelona, which had a great start to the 2024-25 season before slowing down in November and December, is only 7th. PSG, despite its national double and a C1 semi-final in 2023-24, is only 23rd. LOSC, which shone as much with Paulo Fonseca as with Bruno Genesio, is 35th, its very good results in the Champions League having allowed it to score points.
