Chemin du Phare du Paon: work after summer
A large rehabilitation of the Chemin du Phare du Paon, subject to high visitor numbers, is planned as part of the Exceptional Site partnership with the Brittany Region.

The work, which was planned in two phases, is therefore postponed after the season summer 2025. They will be carried out in a single phase during winter 2025/2026.
The return of the Bréhatines regattas
Very fashionable at the beginning of the last century, then after the war, Brehatine regattas are going reborn in 2025, on August 17, precisely:
-In association with Glénan and the APPG, we are going to resume the very old and very popular tradition of the Bréhatines regattas. It will rather be a rally, with sailboats of various sizes, open to Bréhatins and neighbors on the continent for a festive day of sailing which will end with an evening at La Potinière.
Pampas grass eradication
THE grasses of the Pampa are an invasive species that colonizes the area of Rosedo lighthouse. The program oferadication will be able to continue in 2025:
We had the pleasant surprise of receiving on December 26 the letter of confirmation of a subsidy under the 2024 green fund which will cover 70% of the expenses that we had presented.
The pasture is the best way to permanently eradicate this species. To be able to offer new hectares dedicated to grazing, the municipality offers a partnership to the owners of the island:
The municipality undertakes all eradication work at its own expense and in return, the owners make their plots available for a period of five years to allow monitoring and maintenance of the clearing.
Plastic pollution: acquisition of a compactor for packaging
Concerning the collection and treatment of the island's waste, a second compactor will be purchased and installed in Chicago. It will be dedicated to packaging.
Some of you will have noticed, during the strong gales of autumn and the Darragh storm, a very high rate of plastic and packaging being blown away. This is unworthy of a site like Bréhat.
This new tool will allow “ stopper thisplastic pollution while facilitating the work of municipal employees.”
