Incidents in the stands, entries onto the field… Parents banned from basketball halls this weekend

We feel the sports league a little on edge… The basketball committee, which brings together 68 clubs and 13,200 licensees, took the radical decision to close the stands this weekend, January 18 and 19, and to play all departmental meetings behind closed doors. In question? Parents who do not respect the rules, particularly when entering the field, and who behave inappropriately.

It is the referee who leads the game…

Disciplinary cases are in fact increasing. And among them, “32% are caused by inappropriate behavior in the stands, particularly from parents,” specifies the committee in a post on social networks. The committee recalls that entering the field during a match without the agreement of the referee results in the opening of a disciplinary procedure, and each of them costs the club 320 euros.
