A partnership agreement was signed in Casablanca between the regional directorate of Culture and the National Authority of Artisans to highlight intangible cultural heritage.
This agreement includes the organization of events such as “Heritage Month” from April 18 to May 18, intended to raise awareness among young people of its importance and to boost cultural tourism.
The initiative aims to support local industries, promote artistic creativity and involve various cultural actors in the Casablanca-Settat region.
“This convention is part of the preservation and promotion of intangible cultural heritage. It reinforces the commitment of the Department of Culture and civil society in the promotion and protection of the multiple components of our rich cultural heritage.“, declared Hafida Khouyi, regional director of Culture in Casablanca-Settat.

This is an innovative convention which represents a real roadmap for the future of the craft and cultural sector.“, underlined Aityachou Mohamed, president of the National Authority of Artisans and Craft Industry.
The two parties thus undertake to collaborate to promote and safeguard Moroccan craftsmanship.
