Fire burning, a practice that requires precautions: firefighters must intervene in La Brousse

The fire escapes, the firefighters intervene.

During this season, the Lozère firefighters receive a lot of requests for firefighting. This was particularly the case on Friday January 17, 2025, when the weather was fine.

Declared

Among others, a burnout had been duly declared in the commune of Pont-de-Montvert, at a place called La Brousse. The farmers had to take care of supervising it themselves. But the flames escaped them, undoubtedly under the influence of the wind. Firefighters therefore had to intervene to prevent the disaster from spreading.

Ultimately, 25 ha burned instead of the 15 ha initially targeted by burning.
