Inauguration of the Moroccan pavilion at the International Green Week in Berlin
The Kingdom of Morocco is participating in the 89th edition of the Berlin International Green Week, which takes place from January 17 to 26, 2025 in Berlin. Took part in the official opening, the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mr. Ahmed El Bouari.
The Minister inaugurated the Moroccan pavilion this Friday, January 17, 2025, accompanied by the Federal Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Cem Ozdemir, Mr. Taleb Abdelkader, second to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Germany, and senior officials and Moroccan professionals.
Organized by Morocco Foodex, the Moroccan pavilion reflects the Kingdom’s vision for the future of its agriculture as part of the “Green Generation 2020-2030” agricultural strategy, advocating modern and inclusive agriculture, where the principles of sustainability and excellence are at the heart of priorities.
The Minister declared on this occasion that “ The International Green Week in Berlin constitutes an ideal platform for Morocco to expand its international partnerships in the agricultural field. “. The Moroccan pavilion, showcase of resilient and sustainable agriculture
-The pavilion highlights the cultural heritage and agricultural wealth of the country through the authenticity and diversity of Moroccan local products and high value-added products, which meet international standards of quality and sustainability. Among the emblematic products on display, argan oil and its derivatives, olive oil, saffron, dates and aromatic and medicinal plants from the 12 regions of the Kingdom.
In total, 21 exhibitors from 39 cooperatives (bringing together 1,079 members) are taking part in this event, including a cooperative from disaster areas. Among the exhibitors, 8 groups are participating for the first time in an international event and 32% of the members of the cooperatives present are women from rural areas.
This globally recognized event brings together more than 1,400 exhibitors from 60 countries and attracts nearly 300,000 visitors, making Berlin a major crossroads for exchanges around food, agriculture and technology. ‘horticulture.
