The Cyclo-cross of Daix in Côte D’or
At the Daix cyclo-cross organized by Team Hauteville les Dijon on a 2.2km circuit to be covered 8 times, our two Creusetins experienced varying fortunes.
The circuit included rolling parts and parts with less grip and more slippery in the undergrowth.
Pierre-Fabien Dauvillaire and Mathieu PERROUX got off to a good start with a small group which quickly found itself at the front.
Pierre-Fabien DAUVILLAIRE was very unlucky with a puncture mid-race and was forced to retire.
Mathieu PERROUX remains among the best and finishes 5th overall and takes the place of first hope.
Hugo ANTUNES on the podium of the regional championship in Auxerre
After a short break, Hugo ANTUNES returned to competition by taking part in the Auxerre cyclo-cross which was also the support for the regional championship.
The draw made at the starting line was not favorable for Hugo who was forced to start on the 2nd row. However, as soon as the whistle blows, Hugo goes to the front and arrives first in the unpaved part.
Not very comfortable on the very greasy mud, Hugo will be overtaken in the technical sections. Relegated to 3rd place during the 2nd lap, Hugo fell on a slope. He will lose a little time before getting back in the saddle and will be overtaken again to position himself in 5th place at the end of the 2nd lap.
Hugo will then change bikes, which will allow him to have more grip. On the tarmac part of the circuit, Hugo felt more comfortable and moved up to 3rd place, which he kept until the end, thus reaching the podium of the regional championship; new performance to put to his credit
