Dakar, Jan 16 (APS) – The director of Religious Affairs and the integration of graduates in Arabic, Professor Djim Dramé, reaffirmed, Thursday, the desire of the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, to support and support religious homes.
“It is a strong recommendation from the Head of State Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, who gave as his first mission to the management [Affaires religieuses et de l’insertion des diplômés en langue arabe]to visit all religious homes in Senegal, from Fouta Toro to Casamance, with a view to helping and supporting the religious of Senegal and graduates in Arabic, he said .

“I am here as part of my visits to the marabouts and religious guides of Senegal, to present to them the direction of Religious Affairs and its objectives,” underlined Mr. Dramé, appointed last September.

Thus, whoever directs it must then take into account the beliefs and needs of those administered,” he estimated, thus justifying the importance of the creation of a department attached to the presidency to assist religious homes as well as Senegalese graduates in Arabic.
This is an initiative which responds to a “social demand”, also aims to make religious people feel that the State is at their side, especially since “the management remains available and attentive to all suggestions for its proper functioning.”
“It is by taking into account and bringing together, wisely, all the suggestions and ideas from all religious households that we will know what religious people expect from the direction of Religious Affairs,” he indicated. .
-Professor Dramé thus invited religious households to take ownership of the management that takes care of their affairs and to work for its success.
On behalf of the Caliph, Thierno Amadou Tidiane Bâ, present at the meeting, the spokesperson for the religious family of Madina Gounass welcomed the creation of such a direction which, according to him, will contribute to further strengthening the links between the different religious families.
El Hadji Thierno Ibn Omar Bâ also expressed his support for this initiative of the Head of State, congratulated the Director of Religious Affairs and the integration of graduates in Arabic and expressed prayers for the success of his mission.
