The photographic exhibition of the ancient medina of Salé, under the theme “Salé… Roots and Civilization”, was recently inaugurated at the Bab Fès Gallery in Salé.
Organized by the municipality of Salé in partnership with the Salé Foundation for Culture and the Arts, the exhibition, open to the public until August 2025, is part of efforts to promote authentic and diversity of Salé, highlighting a selection of photos recounting aspects of its ancient history and its unique heritage monuments.
This cultural event also aims to document the collective memory of Salé, through a visual journey in its ancient walls, its famous doors, its historic mosques, its schools, its squares, its alleys and other places and spaces of this city historical.
-On this occasion, the president of the municipal council of Salé, Omar Sentissi, indicated, in a statement to the press, that the exhibition is part of the efforts to rehabilitate and promote the old medinas, including that of the city of Salé, one of the ancient Moroccan metropolises and crossroads of civilizations.
